Rising to Excellence Award
The City’s Volunteer Engagement Program received the Rising to Excellence Award from the National Association of Volunteer Programs in Local Government (NAVPLG). This special award recognizes a local volunteer program for responding to community needs — through volunteer service — as a result of the pandemic. The award recognized the Santa Clarita Volunteer Hub which was launched in 2020 to connect local non-profits with volunteers.
ENRICH YOUR LIFE. ENRICH OUR COMMUNITY.
Connecting Volunteers with Local Causes
The new SANTA CLARITA VOLUNTEER HUB is a one-stop shop for volunteerism in the community. It connects local non-profits and volunteers who want to offer their time and skills to a good cause. Non-profits interested in promoting their volunteer opportunities and recruiting volunteers on this site may submit a request below for consideration.

Youth Sports Coaches Needed!
Do you enjoy volleyball or flag football, understand either game, and know the rules? The City is looking for enthusiastic and responsible volleyball and 5-on5 flag football coaches to help provide a fun and safe experience for Santa Clarita youth this fall. Volunteer and be part of the team!
PROTECTING OUR PLANET STARTS WITH YOU!
Be part of the solution! Join the community and help preserve one of the last natural river systems in Southern California by cleaning up a portion of the Santa Clara River.
The Santa Clara River recharges our groundwater and is home to several endangered species, including the California Condor, the Stickleback fish and the Red-Legged Frog.
"Service is a fitting way to start to heal, unite, and rebuild this country we love." - President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
The City of Santa Clarita is now an official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award!
"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart." - Elizabeth Andrew
Meet our first recipients of the President's Volunteer Service Award. These amazing volunteers have given more than 100 hours for City projects this past year. We look forward to having more of our volunteers get this award as we resume our programs and events, and more volunteer opportunities become available.
