In 2025, volunteers planted 223 California native plants at both Wildland Weed Warrior locations. There are now 113 new plants at Golden Valley Ranch and 110 plants at the Elsmere Canyon site. Between the two sites, there are 45 different California native plant species represented.
72 of the total plants are narrowleaf milkweed plugs. Milkweed is an important habitat plant as it is the only plant the endangered Monarch butterfly will eat.
Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped in this amazing effort!
