The City has been  recently approved as an official Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award.  This national recognition was established by President George W. Bush in 2002 to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.  Five City volunteers are currently eligible for the bronze award, having volunteered a minimum of 100 hours within the past year.  We are looking forward to having more City volunteers qualify for this award in the future!
