On May 16, 38 high school seniors and chaperones from the American Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas helped Parks staff put new plants in Central Park planters. The students were in Santa Clarita for their Senior Night at Six Flags Magic Mountain and included this community service as their end-of-the-year activity. We appreciate their volunteer efforts especially during this rainy season when the new plants and planters can soak excess storm water instead of flowing into parking lots and streets.
