The 12th annual Family Literacy Festival was hosted on Saturday, December 1, at the Old Town Newhall Library. Over 30 volunteers came out to help teachers and artists in activity booths and helped staff set up and clean up the event. Together, they engaged attendees in activities geared towards inspiring creativity through literacy and arts. The Family Literacy Festival was a free event produced by the Santa Clarita Public Library, SCV Education Foundation and College of the Canyons Makerspace to celebrate literature, music, dance and crafts. Thank you to the volunteers who helped drive this goal.
