Special Event Opportunities


Many exciting volunteer-supported events in the City of Santa Clarita occur only once
or a few times a year.  Be part of these fun events in 2018 by volunteering!

 All volunteers must sign up at SantaClaritaVolunteers.com.
Online registration opens approximately 45 days prior to the event.

  • CERT Simulation Drill – Thursday, April 19

    Act as “injured survivors” for the emergency response simulation drill (7 years & up; minors must be accompanied by a parent)


  • Cowboy Festival – Saturday & Sunday, April 21-22

    Help with various Festival activities (10 years & up)

  • Earth Arbor Day – Saturday, April 28

    Plant trees, assist with mulch distribution and various family-oriented activities (5 years & up)

  • World’s Largest Swim Lesson – Thursday, June 21

    Help staff with this fun Guinness World Records™ event (14 years & up)

  • Summer Reading Program – July-August

    Assist Library staff with registering individuals and families, distributing prizes, and setting up for special events and programs (14-17 years old)

  • LA84 Swim Festival – August

    Volunteers will assist with checking in swimmers (14 years & up)

  • Swim League Finals – Saturday, August 4

    Serve as timers and help with other tasks during the event  (14 years & up)

  • Youth Grove Evening of Remembrance – September

    Help with clean-up and set-up, hand out flowers, hold motivational signs (13-18 years old)

  • River Rally – September 22

    Help clean a portion of the Santa Clara River (5 years & up)
